Gainsborough only use the finest mechanisms in their sofa beds and it is recognised that a two-fold slatted mechanism makes the most comfortable sprung mattress available.
A two-fold mechanism ensures that the mattress is only folded once rather than twice.
Every mechanism is finished using hard wearing silver paint to ensure lifelong protection.
The webbing at the foot end of the bed becomes the platform for the seating when in the closed postion.

This sofa bed is supplied with a fully sprung 13½ gauge mattress with comfort layers of hypo-allergenic bonded polyester encased in an attractive cover which is then tufted to ensure maximum comfort and durability.
