Abey Furnishing is a family owned business started in February 1970 by Mr Robert Abey at the age of 50 years old. Mr Abey had worked in furniture all of his working life. He started from a small showroom in Wilton Road, Humberston, Grimsby with about 3000 square feet and 6 suites, plenty of brochures and a whole lot of enthusiasm, nowadays the showroom is 25000 square feet with 45 room sets, dinning furniture, bed, bedroom furniture, recliner, high seat chair, carpets and even a coffee lounge. Sadly Mr Abey is no longer alive but his dream continues. The company is now owned by his Granddaughter and her husband, it has just had a massive £500000 refurbishment.
